Kim L. Lengert is the founding attorney of Lengert Law, an estate planning and administration firm that serves people throughout Pennsylvania. Kim came to the law from a unique background. She is ordained as a pastor and spent years developing churches in Pennsylvania. After some time, Kim looked for ways to further share her core values: all people have value, all people deserve respect, and all people have needs. She desired to stand with those people through critical life changes in a different way than serving as a pastor. This desire lead to Kim’s study of the law and her focus on legal areas in which she could assist individuals in need. Now Kim has the privilege of helping people through some of the most joyous – and difficult times of their lives, when they need assistance planning for the future or managing an estate when a loved one has passed away.
Kim’s philosophy as a lawyer is that it is her job to provide her clients with the advice and support they need to make important decisions about their futures. She works with each client to provide them and their loved ones with the protection they need. And when a loved one has gone on, Kim is there to aid their families through that painful time.
A past Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Solo & Small Firm Section (an organization of attorneys working alone and in small law firms), Kim continues in the Section’s and the PBA’s leadership. Kim is a regular participant in the Pennsylvania Estate Law Institute and The Conference, the annual educational event for the Solo & Small Firm Section. She is a recognized speaker for both community and legal education organizations.
Kim is an avid, camper, hiker, and flyfisher. When, in 2019, she had the chance to move to an Island on Maine, she knew it was the opportunity of a lifetime and could not pass it up. Now, Kim represents Pennsylvanians through her office located on the Island. Lengert Law is set up with modern technology that enables her to provide representation in an efficient, focused fashion. She now serves her clients from her desk overlooking a field of blueberries and the ocean where she resides with her dogs and her spouse.
